Performance Groups

The Marching Band performs at home football games, local and regional competitions, and local holiday events.  Starting in July, the band spends countless hours preparing a marching show.  During the fall semester they rehearse daily during school and twice a week after school.  The group competes on Saturdays from September through October and performs a holiday concert in a concert band setting.  

 

 

Marching Band

The West Craven Concert Band performs a variety of music during the spring semester.  The concert band participates in the North Carolina Band Masters Association’s Music Performance Adjudication in March of every year.  The program consistently receives a Superior rating at this festival. Along with their performance is March, The West Craven Concert Band performs a spring concert as well as performing at the high school's Graduation Ceremony.

Indoor Groups

The West Craven Indoor Colorguard and Craven County Percussion give students an opportunity to practice their skills during the off season or try something new. CCP is a combined group with students from all three high school in Craven County. Groups start rehearsing in January and compete at state-wide competitions through April.
